THE MONASTERY OF HER ROYAL HIGHNESS

A temple of the late Princess Galyani Vadhana (1923-2008), Siri Wattana Wisut Forest Monastery is a unique national attraction and sacred destination situated on three serene hills that make up Bodhisattva Mountain in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. The Monastery features wisdom-enhancing architecture, unorthodox Buddhas, and artistic holy objects distinct from any other temple in the world.

Here you can visit all major Buddhist pilgrimage sites replicated from originals in India and Nepal—but with added Thai uniquenesses: the Buddha’s places of birth, enlightenment, first sermon, death, and cremation. You will also deepen your knowledge of the Buddha’s legacy and Thai royals’ sacrifice. Collectively, the attractions reflect the significance of the nation, religion, and monarchy–and illustrate profound allegories that can uplift and transform lives.
